Misbah hopes that the England cricket team will visit Pakistan soon

Southampton: Pakistan coach Misbah-ul-Haq has said he hopes England will visit the country "soon" when he visited the UK during the Coronavirus epidemic.

England has not been able to visit Pakistan since 2005/06. A decade-long cricket journey came to an end in 2009 when armed militants attacked a Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore.

But after this trip to other countries, England is scheduled to return in 2022.

Pakistan Cricket Board chief executive Wasim Khan has already appealed for a visit to England and Misbah said in a column on the PCB website published on Wednesday: "Looking to the future, We will really appreciate England's visit to Pakistan soon. "

He pointed out the recent touring teams, including Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and said that several England players had participated in the Pakistan Super League, a Twenty20 competition.

Misbah, who is also Pakistan's chief selector, said, "Now players from all over the world know Pakistan about these levels of security and how much they will be welcomed."

In the third Test at Southampton, the draw condemned Manchester's 1-0 defeat to Pakistan on Tuesday before the three-match T20 series in Manchester this weekend, which was also behind closed doors. Will be played

Pakistan and the West Indies, who played a three-Test series in England last month, are the two economically poorest internationals in cricket.

Yet they have helped save the England and Wales Cricket Board from losses that could be in the hundreds of millions of pounds.

"The whole cricket community needs to stand together - that's the only way to promote the game and bring happiness to fans and cricket lovers," Misbah said when he visited the ECB. Thanks for the hospitality.

'Amazing Anderson'

The good relations between the two sides were marked when England's James Anderson, the first pacer to take 600 Test wickets, had time to speak to Pakistan's left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi on Tuesday.

"He was under a huge amount of weight yet he demonstrated mind blowing character and mental quality," Misbah said.

The former Pakistan captain added, "Anderson's achievement of taking 600 wickets in Tests is amazing. He has shown extraordinary discipline, enthusiasm and determination as fast bowling is the most difficult task of cricket." The captain added.

It was Pakistan's first Test series defeat against England in a decade, but after Misbah suffered a crushing defeat in the opening match at Old Trafford, his team took pride in the "fight".

He especially praised Pakistan captain Azhar Ali who scored 141 not out in the final of the series after scoring just 38 runs in the first two Tests.

"He was under a huge amount of weight yet he demonstrated unfathomable character and mental quality," Misbah said.

"This innings saved the game for us. Any batsman who scores a century is always special but that innings was extra special because Azhar worked hard.

"Finally, every single ball he threw, all that we did together paid off
